MGM Group is a family owned and operated private company with over 50 years' experience within the bulk haulage industry, servicing mining companies that require bulk haulage, storage, ship loading, rail loading and stockpile management services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader at our Port Hedland Branch.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance employees in providing excellent quality of service and workmanship to meet HVA requirements and business operational demands in service and maintenance, diagnostics and repair of our fleet of trucks, machinery and plant. As the Workshop Supervisor you will need to be a self motivated individual who has the ability to offer technical support to motivate and inspire employees whilst also possessing the strength of character to implement changes and meet deadlines as required by the business.

This is a Port Hedland based residential role not FIFO. Only candidates who are willing to relocate to Port Hedland should apply. Accommodation may be provided, as part of the remuneration package, for the right applicant.

The successful applicant will be based locally and able to:

  • Schedule FIFO rosters, repairs, servicing and maintenance to compliment production requirements
  • Manage parts return and credit note process
  • Maintain a warranty register
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve forecasted objectives
  • Purchase parts and consumables in preparation for servicing and maintenance requirements
  • Maintain records in accordance with our branch requirements, Quality System and Main Roads Accreditation
  • Lead the team to achieve goals within tight deadlines to maintain production and safety requirements

We would be very interested to receive resumes from potential candidates who can demonstrate previous experience in a similar role working with heavy duty haulage equipment (preferably Kenworth Trucks and Side Tipper Trailers) whilst also being able to roll up their sleeves and get on the tools as required.
